Let's Try Something New

I have started countless blogs in my life but this is the first time I am starting one focused on my professional life, and the first time I am starting blog on a website I built. Please bear with me.

Honestly, this is a practice in vulnerability for me. I am under no illusions that I am an SEO expert or thought-leader in the space, but I do know I've been working in SEO for six years and have learned a few things in my time. Some of those things are basic and some are individual to my own experience, but I have found that committing those learning to "wax", so to speak, is a good way for me to make sure they stick.

What's the Plan, Stan?

I am building this website piece by piece. The goal is for me to have a playground where I can put my experience and learnings to the test. I want a low-stakes environment to test out some SEO tactics new and old, and see what kind of gains I can make with a small, low-traffic site.

So far, so good.

The plan here is to use this space as somewhat of a running diary about my experiences, my wins, my many losses, and other SEO-relevant musings.

If you find yourself here and come across something that you find helpful, amazing. If you don't find yourself here and find absolutely nothing of value, also amazing.

I want this space to be one of vulnerability and transparency, but most of all, a place of learning. The learning is likely to be more for me than anyone else, especially at the forefront, and I have no disillusions about that.

I hope to be writing in here at least once a week, and I'm going to try my hardest to hold myself to that.
